Raja Ampat – Liveaboard 2016

10 Glorious days of kayaking in Raja Ampat onboard a 120 ft Liveaboard.
We had a nice mix of divers and kayakers on this trip, which meant that we visited a number of new areas and were the first to kayak in a couple of places. Equator Island was particularly amazing for both groups, the kayakers found an incredible hidden lagoon in which to explore. The lagoon provided a nice little pocket beach to have rest and take in the amazing surroundings. The dive highlight was the East End of Kri Island where the divers were treated to huge schools of fish – Trevally and Barricuda, and large Manta Rays.

We spent a couple fabulous days up at Wayag where we spotted numerous jumping Manta Rays, and were able to paddle through the myriad of tiny limestone islands with light winds and glorious sunshine. The hike up to the summit of one of the Wayag islands provided incredible views of the impressive group. The Liveboard provided great meals throughout the trip, and the air-conditioned comfort of each room was much appreciated after our busy days on or in the water.

Thanks to everyone involved for a great trip

Can’t wait for next year.
