The Tour

Flying into Kulusuk, we will shuttle to the main town of Tasilaq via helicopter and move into our guesthouse accommodation. Once we’ve completed the safety briefings we’ll go for a short evening ski.
The next 6 days we will ski from breakfast until 7:30 pm! Or until our legs give out. We will return each day to the comforts of the Guesthouse and enjoy suppers with a fusion of East Greenlandic delicacies and Italian cuisine. On our final day we head back to Kulusuk in the morning for our flight back to Iceland.

The Place

Heli-skiing in Greenland is mind blowing. The Angmassalik region is the most remote and wildest region in Greenland. Mountains here tower over the ice filled fiord creating a spectacle like nowhere else. We’ll spend 7 days skiing these virgin peaks. Most runs start at around 1200m and finish at the ocean shore. The terrain is absolutely world class and the scenery is nothing short of spectacular.

The Weather

Spring weather in East Greenland is generally dominated by high pressure systems with blue skies, light wind and temperatures ranging from -10C to +3C. Storms and colder temperatures are always possible.

The Skiing

Usually the spring brings higher pressure and settled weather but we could experience anything from dead calm and sunny days to blizzard type weather.

The skiing conditions are normally very good. If we aren’t skiing powder we’re playing with the aspects and hunting down corn snow. The terrain in the area has a lot of variety with lots of different aspects and features, providing protection from wind.

The terrain also offers runs for all types of skiers, there are wide open bowls, big steep faces as well long committing couloirs.
